Emotional logos pull the trigger to all the right spots in our subconscious to leave a lasting mark upon us. Emotional branding allows the companies to communicate with its customers on a personal level. It enables them to feel connected with the brand on grounds of certain emotions which could be happiness, affection, peace, solidarity or even pleasure and confidence.
Designing is not just about art, there is an exact science involved. To convey the impression of an entire company through one image, to be able to communicate to millions of people through the medium of one single design, to have a timeless recognition by means of a single logo or a monogram creation is truly a marvelous achievement. The amount of hard work and the busloads of creativity that must go in creating that one perfect look are undoubted, as anybody who has ever held a pencil to draw a sketch would know just what it means to have a perfect design.
As I boarded a plane to Las Vegas last week, I realized how much we are influenced by these logos and monograms in our everyday lives. It hit me harder when I reached my destination and had to refuse to stay at a motel for its horrid looking advertising sign (as well as interior). I decided not to risk my sanity in there and rented a room elsewhere. For me, logos are a deal maker or breaker when it comes to leisure spending.
The creative arts are many, varied, and ever changing. Neither boundaries nor languages can hinder a truly creative piece of work from gaining strength and popularity all over the world. And when it comes to designing, whether it is a promotional banner or a web design, a greeting card or a logo design, creativity is on another level. There is color, there is a symbol, and then projecting the company name in the most decipherable, most recognizable and the most memorable way possible, there comes the use of typeface, and all of this combined can make your monogram or the logo identity stand out in the crowd of competitors.
