Prague to host 5th Iranian Films Festival

TEHRAN, Nov. 29 (MNA) – 5th edition of Prague Iranian Film Festival will be held in Prague and Brno, the biggest cities of Czech Republic, and Bratislava, capital of Slovakia.

The 5th film festival will be held from January 30- February 13. Similar to its previous editions, a panel of jury comprising noted international figures will judge the Iranian films in the documentary and feature sections.

The festival’s three main prizes include award for the best narrative feature film, award for the best documentary and award for the best film selected by the audience which will be presented during the event’s closing ceremony.

In the upcoming edition, two noted figures of Afghanistan’s cinema will host the festival’s Afghanistan’s Cinema Nights.

During the festival conferences will be held on the cinema industry and joint Iran and Europe productions. 

Iranian Film Festival was first held in 2012 presenting a number of Iranian films focusing on women. The event is now turned into one of the most well received events in Prague which introduces the Iranian art and artists.

In the 5th edition of the festival, interested individuals will get familiar with other Iranian arts including theatre, painting, music and graphic designs as well.  

The 5th Iranian Film Festival will be organized by Media Nest Company in cooperation with Advanced Media Trading Company.
